I believe (and could be wrong) that there are upscaling 1080p tvs and native 1080p tvs. so I don't think all do, but again, what do I know?

Xbox360 will have 1080p native as well as up scaling 720p & 1080i to 1080p, so basically EVERY game will be 1080p whether up scaled or native. Will PS3 upscale their 720p and 1080i games? Or will it not have the ability to upscale?? I'M JUST CURIOUS!!!

Nice feature. But there are fewer people with 7.1 surround than there are with 1080p TVs. VERY COOL, but not a big deal to most.
Another gamer making sense. That's like 2 or 3 so far today. Basically every Square game on the PS1 had multiple discs, and nobody gave a rats butt. Who cares if you have to put a new disc in every twenty hours or so. GREAT comment omegaheat
It DOES look good...however, it's only about 10% as good as the CGI video they showed at E3 that they claimed was in game. So although it looks nice, it's still a letdown from the hype.
However, you can't say stuff like that on this website, because your comment actually made sense. A rarity as of late.
That game will be killer too. The 360 has AMAZING rpg's this time around.
Let the non educated poor people buy their cheap cables. If you have a high end HDTV, it makes a HUGE difference in the picture quality. Don't be a sucker and buy crappy cables. If you going to drop $800 on a system (total-game, tax controller, etc.) buy a good cable.
Anybody stupid enough to buy a $10 hdmi cable should be shot. You do realize that would destroy the true clarity the system is trying to produce. Quality products make a difference. If you don't believe that then you really are blind, and it doesn't matter what resolution you get anyway.

I put close 7 hours into it yesterday. My opinion....It's a game FULL of RPG cliches, yet it pulls them all off really well. I got tired of the final fantasy series after 9, so this to me is a welcome change. However, I would guess that I'm enjoying it more than most would.
I've got the spare power on my Xbox360 programmed to wipe my a$$ when I need it. That machine really can do just about anything. When I get a PS3, I'll program it to turn it into a money tree, or maybe a second wife used strickly for sex and cleaning. I'll be set for life with those two systems :)
I'm sure you all recall the fact that Half-Life 2 made an appearance on the Xbox, which was a 733mhz processor. It didn't compare with the PC version, but IT WAS HALF LIFE 2 ON A 733mhz PROCESSOR!!!! Crysis will make it to next gen one way or another. It may not be perfect, but it'll make it.
I've heard a lot of stupid comments on this site, but that's just BAD. You do realize that the Xbox360 has 3 cores with two threads a piece. Making it six, not three. I have a 360, and I may get a PS3 if they produce quality games, because unlike most of you fanboys who are most likely 10 years old, I have a job and can afford to get both, PLUS I enjoy ANY good game regardless of the system. Grow up you flaming loser douche bag!!!
This is NOT a knock on the PS3, but it goes to show that the Cell is a GREAT chip, however, it's creation was meant for general processing and NOT specifically for gaming. Sony should've picked a gaming oriented processor, but they'll make more money if they use their Cell.

the old school dlp's used a 3 color wheel. This new Samsung has a 5 color wheel, virtually eliminating the rainbow. Its GREAT.

It is phenomenal, if any of you buy one in the near future, this is the one...trust me. Even though it supports 1080p inputs, I'm only interested in movies at that resolution. Gaming is superb a 720p. PS3 will be a waste of money for the first couple of years or so, and chances are the blu-ray will fail anyway. My point...I have a 1...
